Crowns made on-site with modern technology

Same-day Crowns

Ceramic Reconstruction Technology

The CEREC machine allows us to give our patients same-day white crowns with digital dentistry.

Crowns are indicated in teeth that are severely broken down or fractured.

A crown covers all the cusps of the weakened tooth and provides protection and increased function.

The onlay or crown is then designed and fabricated with CAD/CAM technology, and cemented in your mouth on the same day.

The results are strong, beautiful restorations.

Periodontal Treatments

Your gums and the underlying bone are the foundation of your teeth. Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is usually a silent infection of the gums and jaw bone. It is caused by bacteria found in plaque and tartar. It is a major cause of tooth loss in adults. In fact, about half of all adult Americans have chronic periodontal disease. A check-up can tell if you fall in that category. When detected early, gum disease is treatable and in most cases reversible.

Periodontal disease falls into two types: gingivitis and periodontitis. Gingivitis is an early, reversible form of the disease which is characterized by red, swollen gums that bleed easily. Periodontitis is a more advanced condition that is characterized by the destruction of bone and soft tissue around the tooth, potentially leading to tooth loss. If you have periodontitis, we have solutions to help prevent tooth loss.

IMPLANTS

Maintaining your jaw bone with dental implants

Tooth Replacement

Dental implants are predictable and highly successful replacements for missing teeth. Implants can be used to replace single or multiple missing teeth, and to anchor loose dentures. In addition to helping you increase your chewing capacity and fill missing spaces, the implants help to maintain your jaw bone.

After teeth are removed, the bone that supports the former tooth root will resorb and disappear, but implants can stop this process.

Implant Structure

The dental implant has different components. The implant body is a titanium-coated metal piece that takes the form of the tooth root.

The implant abutment connects the implant body to the implant crown.

We both place implant bodies into your jaw bone, as well as restore them with crowns a few months later.

Total Body Dentistry

The connection between dental disease and other bodily diseases has been well documented. Uncontrolled gum disease has been linked to diabetes, heart disease, and low birth weight of infants. The inflammatory products from your gums can enter your blood stream and affect distant organs. So, as dentists, we are not simply concerned for your mouth, but for your overall well-being.

Hormonal conditions such as puberty and pregnancy can significantly affect your gums and teeth. Elevations of estrogen and progesterone can cause gum disease. Morning sickness can cause cavities and acid erosion of tooth enamel. Tooth pain can cause emotional stress in expecting mothers. Uncontrolled gum disease, as mentioned earlier, can negatively affect your body’s ability to mature fully in the womb. Thus, we recommend regular dental checkups during pregnancy.
